Kapok is a great material that has certain natural properties such as being hypoallergenic and temperature regulating that make it an ideal material for a duvet. Additionally, kapok fibres are very respectful of the environment as they do not require much water to grow and don't need trees to be cut down to be harvested.

Kapok fibres are naturally hollow and filled with air, allowing for maximum air circulation making the material keep cool and be very breathable. Additionally, this hollow structure also means that the fibres have good insulation properties, meaning the duvet will keep your little one warm when it is cold outside. Finally, the fibres have the natural ability to wick moisture away from the body making sure your little one stays dry when it is warm or humid.

 

We recommend airing the duvet out once a month in fresh air and cleaning out small minor stains with a damp cloth.

Yes, Moonboon also sells a kapok pillow in both baby and junior size that fits perfectly to the kapok duvet.

 

Kapok is a fibre that is known for its soft and silky feel. As the fibres are very fine, light and fluffy, they are softer than cotton and wool and feel almost like a down feather.

 

The duvet does not come with a duvet case. We offer a matching duvet case though that you can purchase separately. If you purchase our textile bundle, then you will receive the duvet with a duvet case and the matching pillow with a case as well.
